Lisa Davis, marketing director

A love of client relations and watching the design process come to life are just two of the things that led Lisa Davis to form Blu Creative. Born and raised in King City, Lisa earned two degrees—in landscape architecture and agricultural business—from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo. From there, she moved to San Francisco, where she worked as a designer for a landscape architecture and urban planning firm, and then to Tampa, FL, specializing in land use cases for a landscape architecture firm.

In all of these places, she wore two hats—that of designer, and that of marketer. With her experience in business and her background in design, Lisa understands the entire process a client undergoes when putting together marketing strategy.

And while Blu is a small agency, it’s a mighty one.

“I love client relations and watching the design side come to life,” she said, “I like that we’re small because I always want my clients to be able to deal with me and be able to feel like they can always speak to me.”

Lisa and her husband, Allen, returned to the Salinas Valley because of Allen’s job in the agriculture industry. Lisa is very active in the Monterey County Farm Bureau and Young Farmers and Ranchers, and plans many major events for the National Steinbeck Center. She gets up at 4:30 almost every morning for reasons unclear to nearly everyone who knows her.
